Strawberry Field is open for visitors to come and see what lies beyond the red gates. Entry to the cafe and shop is free. Tickets to Strawberry Field visitor experience, which includes a media-guided tour of the exhibition and gardens, should be booked in advance to secure your place.

Strawberry Field opening times

Strawberry Field is open to visitors 7 days a week

Monday to Sunday 10:00am - 5.00pm

Opening hours are subject to change in the event of special events, group booking or by special request.

  • 24th December Christmas Eve open 10am-2pm
  • 25th December Christmas Day closed
  • 26th December Boxing Day closed
  • 31st December New Years Eve open 10am-2pm
  • 1st January New Years Day closed

We recommend you purchase your ticket to explore beyond the gates online in advance. 

Adults: £11.20

Concessions: £8.20

Children (age 16 and under): free of charge with a paying adult

Carers: free of charge

How to find Strawberry Field

Strawberry Field is at 16 Beaconsfield Road, Woolton, Liverpool L25 6EJ

CUSTOMER NOTICE: Please be aware that due to roadworks, the top of Beaconsfield Road will be closed to through traffic from 22nd July for approximately 6 weeks. Access to Strawberry Field will still be possible via Menlove Avenue or from the top via a diversion to Quarry Street then Beaconsfield Road.

Travelling by bus from Liverpool City Centre. Please see Merseytravel for timetables and routes.

76 bus to the Menlove Avenue/Beaconsfield Road stop

75 or 86C to Menlove Avenue/Comptons Lane and walk 10-15 minutes 

78 bus to Woolton Road/Blackwood Avenue

We have parking available at Strawberry Field, including disabled parking spaces. During busy periods the car park may fill up and where possible for events we arrange overflow parking.

How to get to Strawberry Field by rail

The nearest railway stations to Strawberry Field are Liverpool South Parkway and West Allerton. From there it a 30-45 minute walk or 6-8 minute taxi ride.
