Strawberry Field welcomes new Associate Mission Director, Major Michelle Lovegrove-Huggins

Major Michelle Lovegrove-Huggins

Introducing our new Associate Mission Director, Major Michelle Lovegrove-Huggins.

Michelle has been a Salvation Army officer for 32 years, serving in Yorkshire, West Scotland and the East Midlands. While the majority of her service has been in Church leadership, she also held the position of Divisional Director for Personnel and was a coach in personal and leadership development for 12 years.

"It is an absolute privilege to be now appointed by the Salvation Army as Associate Mission Director at Strawberry Field. Getting to work in such a beautiful setting with such a rich history and as part of a vibrant, skilled team who daily bring change is very humbling. To witness the commitment and cohesive work ethic, employed and volunteer staff, all working together keeping the facilities beautifully kept, offering excellent hospitality, a fantastic visitor experience, wholistic wellbeing support, providing a first class training experience in the Steps programme, or keeping information flowing so that all, whether locally or globally will know they are welcome, is awesome.

Too many in life seek to limit and inhibit us, closing gates in the faces of those who may not be seen to fit in. But I believe God intended that everyone should have life in all its fullness, to be the person he has created us to be. As a life coach, it has always been my passion to encourage individuals to dig deep and seek to live their best life. I hope that in my new role I will join with the team in working to keep those big red gates open so that all may discover their potential and live in it. "

Welcome to the team, Michelle. We are so glad to have you with us!
