Strawberry Field collects Christmas gifts for Abbot's Lea School
As part of our annual Toy Appeal for Abbot's Lea School, our team collected Christmas gifts alongside parents of children at the school to provide for 20 struggling families on Christmas morning.
Organised by Sharon Heller, Safeguarding Assistant at Abbot's Lea school, and Karen Carter, Fresh Expression at Strawberry Field, the annual Toy Appeal is a wonderful example of community in action.
Sharon Heller said, "On behalf of our school community, I want to express our deepest gratitude for the generous donation of toys you have provided for our most struggling families this Christmas. Your kindness has brought immense joy and relief to families who need it most, and it is a gesture that will have a lasting impact.
For many of our families, Christmas can be a challenging time, and your support has not only eased their burdens but also brought smiles and excitement to their children. These toys mean so much more than just gifts – they represent hope, happiness, and the knowledge that someone cares.
Our students, who are at the heart of everything we do, will undoubtedly feel the warmth of this generosity. Seeing their faces light up with joy will be a precious moment for their families and a reminder of the power of community and kindness.
Thank you for helping us to make this Christmas truly special for our families. Your support is a shining example of compassion, and we are incredibly grateful to have you as part of our extended community."
