As part of our Steps to Work programme, Cohort 19 had the privilege of visiting the iconic St Johns Beacon, otherwise known as the Radio City Tower, for an educational and inspiring tour. Conducted by Kelvin and his wonderful team, this experience provided our cohort with invaluable insights into the history of Liverpool's skyline and offered breath taking views from this iconic landmark.

The tour began with an engaging introduction from Kelvin, who shared fascinating stories about the Tower's history and its significance in Liverpool. As the cohort ascended to the observation deck, the trainees were greeted with a 360-panoramic view of the city, giving them a unique perspective on Liverpool's architectural evolution.

Kelvin and his team expertly guided us through the landmarks visible from the tower, including the famous Liverpool Cathedrals, the historic docks, as well as the football stadiums. The knowledge and passion for Liverpool's history truly enhanced the experience, making it both educational and enjoyable.

This visit not only allowed the trainees to appreciate the beauty and history of Liverpool but also served as a reminder of the importance of understanding their surroundings as well as increasing their professional and employability development. We are grateful to Kelvin and his team for providing such an enlightening experience. We look forward to applying the information the cohort learned in future tourism placement opportunities.

Cohort 19 left the Radio City Tower with a deeper appreciation for Liverpool's rich history and increased knowledge. Thank you to everyone who made this tour possible for the trainees in Cohort 19.
