Meet Karen

Karen Carter, Fresh Expression Team Member

Karen enjoys helping to create a new way of being ‘church’ and community at Strawberry Field. She leads Hopefulness sessions, a monthly Gathering event, Mini-Retreats, regular Prayer and Reflective times on site, and summer Get Back to Play mornings for children. A native Scouser, Karen trained as a journalist and worked in news/features journalism for mainstream and Christian media, including the BBC and the national Fresh Expressions team. Karen's claim to fame is attending the same primary school as John Lennon – but not at the same time!
